Spring squill is a native wild plant. It also works well in a garden, particularly in a rockery or as an addition to an informal lawn providing early colour for human eyes and early nectar for bees. It is primarily a coastal plant, making it particularly well suited to seaside gardens.

Spring squill is perennial. It can be grown either from seed or, more usually, from bulbs.  You might have to seek it out from a specialist wild flower or seaside plant nursery.
